Just in case you missed it the first time, I’ll reiterate. The gallery section of our website is now up and running and requests your input. Hmmm… I distinctly remember Jessica saying that she’d draw us something… So, risking re-opening the flood gates, my email is toasterfire at gmail.com. Now, we’re turning our eyes to the other undone sections of never you mind. Links, your days are numbered!
Well, I am now officially back on the job market and I better make the most of this month. Hopefully I can find something to do before February rears it’s holiday packed head. It’s mostly the boring holidays, like Groundhog Day. I’ve stopped trusting that thing so three years ago…. Anyway when I find something, I’ll be sure to let you guys know.
P.S. Laurie, I really would like some of your stuff for the gallery. 3 pictures would really be appreiciated. P.S.S. Silly me forgot that Valentine’s Day was in February. I think I mentally switched it with Colombus day or something.

It’s funny, then, that I went to the library today to get the books I had placed a hold on, then. If this is supposed to resemble me in the slightest (I assure you, it occasionally does), the books are everywhere. As a matter of fact, I am hard at work on some blueprints for a new bookcase in my room at home. As if 7 shelves and 4 boxes wasn’t enough.
Other than that, I see that my skills of an artist are requested. Go me.

I never used to draw cars back when I was a kid. Cars are really not my thing. So you can understand that took me extra long to bring you the Ferrari Enzo you see up above. I tried to keep every thing about the vehicle about as accurate as I could for any car fans out there. Except the interior, I really couldn’t care less about the interior. And I can’t honestly say if the Enzo came with all the things the dealer is listing. Actually, I only really worried about how that one picture looked. I remember wondering why people in television shows would talk about videogames and make such large gaping errors. Now I know. They didn’t care that you can’t get to level 75 in WOW and so forth. Sometimes, getting things wrong and watching people squirm is half the fun. But really, I don’t think this comic is going to make anyone squirm. Unless we get someone who draws cars for a living. In which case, I mildly apologize.

Nothing says holidays like family emergencies. But thankfully, all’s well that ends well and finally! Happy New Year to all of you! I know it’s been a week (almost) since this year started, but at least everything’s closer to normal. To me, Christmas seems like it was at least 5 months ago, thanks to all of the things that have been happening around me.
About this comic. It’s funny. I give Daniel the props from a distance for which we are so famous. *props from a distance* I am happy that when I learned to drive, it was on an automatic, although I really want to learn to drive a stick-shift. Maybe that’s a new year’s resolution in the making…? I think a knowledge of cars is indispensable in southern California. I also hear wallace and Gromit, so I must be going.

I would have commented sooner, but I just wanted to make sure everything was in order. We’ve got a new year’s treat for you and the gallery section is now up and running. It’s far from complete as Laurie has yet to contribute her work, but there are some images there for you to enjoy. The idea is that we’ll continue to put up more pictures as we make them. The gallery also has a fan art section that’s just waiting for you to send something in (my email is toasterfire at gmail.com), and another section containing the fan art that I’ve done for other comic genesis comics. All in all it’s a nice little addition to the website. Hopefully we’ll get some more pages done before the next year arrives.

Well, I’ve never had this experience personally, but I know someone who has. I might have had a part in it, even. Ahaha, no more will be said. Other than that, this was my first full-blown attempt to use the tablet I have, which is not really made for artistic purposes (unlike Daniel’s, which is really nice). I guess I am trying to apologize for the crap art. But you should just deal with it. It would make my ego happier, anyhow. As always, my subject is Melissa – hard to avoid since she’s based on me. Think Daniel = Nathan kind of issue. I draw what I know? Yes.
I hope that the break from normal activities (read: holidays) is going as well for you, our readers, as it is for me. I just finished some books (my height of happiness) yesterday, and I have a lot more to start reading, which is quite exciting. I also avoided presents of clothing (for the most part, but knee socks hardly count, and I think they’re awesome). And we had turkey today! For no reason! I enjoyed it as I always enjoy turkey, but everyone dropped asleep afterwards, making for a lazy evening. I think there might even be cookie making in a bit. Man, there’s nothing but food in this house.thing” policy. So if you discover anything offending in this comic, just remember it was Laurie who typed it, not I.

And here’s another life saving comic from Laurie. I hope you all enjoyed the holidays more than Melissa did. Over here at Never You Mind Inc, we’re still chugging along. On Saturday we’ll launch our semi story of however many comics. I hope you look forward to it.
In other news, I just added Trauma Center and Rayman to my Wii Repertoire. Pretty good as far as launch titles go. However, as I edge towards the end of Zelda I’m still looking for something else that I can really dig my claws in. Maybe Final Fantasy III will have to do.

As sugarplums begin to invade your nightly excursions, Never You Mind now takes a moment to reflect on the true meaning of this seasonal period. Family fun, photos, and dessert. There are some other meanings there, but we felt it was necessary to leave them out in order not to offend our irregular viewers. I say irregluar because we know all our regular viewers by name and already offend them on a near daily basis. Laurie sends out a barrage of emails full of links to boring YouTube videos while I flank them with a deluge of chain letters requiring lengthy triva about themselves. This process really weeds out the good friends from the bad and is more of a necessity than anything.
What was I talking about? Oh yeah. In any case we decided that it was best to remove any mention of any actual holiday from the comic. Even the word “Season” proved to be too suspect for our precious panels. “Greetings” almost got the ax too, but by that time I had already writen it down; and that would have went against my “Never Redraw anything” policy. So if you discover anything offending in this comic, just remember it was Laurie who typed it, not I.

This time of year is, as you all know, very cold. I also hope you know, or rather, noticed all of the pie-related things in the last panel. It was a close call, I thought some of the less obvious ones were just squiggles, so they almost died during editing. Luckily, Daniel’s love of puns and my knowledge of it saved us both. Ahaha.
I made a pumpkin pie from scratch (yes, I even had to boil and peel a freakin’ pumpkin for this…) and I wonder if I should repeat the experience for the holidays. I hesitate because the kitchen was covered in pumpkin after the first attempt and I don’t want a huge mess on my hands. Or the counter. But, we’ll see. I also get to make tier cookies! I bought new cutters this year, so hopefully that will work out better.
I just picked out my first nutcracker, only he’s a little different than the usual soldier/prince type of nutcracker. He’s a wine-maker, near as I can tell, and very dapper in an apron. Still has the evil villian moustaché, so all is well. See you Tuesday!

It’s getting harrowingly close to Christmas and I have yet to even consider shopping for presents. Other people can wait apparantly. The truth is that the whole luster of going out and looking at merchandise has wanned since I began working retail. That’s probably just the way it is. I’ll figure everything out eventually, but I should really start getting to it. The good news is that I can actually transport myself to the stores this year. That should help somewhat. Employee discount is nice as well.
Anyway, this comic is also 100% true. I’m pretty bad at Metroid Prime Hunters. Just getting to the final boss is essentially the same thing right? As of late I’ve been focusing my attention on Zelda and Elite Beat Agents (no, I still haven’t beaten Zelda). EBA is quite fun and I happily recomend it to the harmonally downtrodden. Expect my full write up on Zelda never. Or sunday or whatever…

I used to dwell for full minutes on the naming of our precious comics, but today it seems common practice to just shove the pictures at Laurie and let her sort it all out. Fortunately my associate is more than sufficiently equipped for the job. The title here serves as some proof of her certification.
In other news, I have just returned from visiting Leah’s family up in Martinez. I would normally regale you the tale of my sojourn with laborious detail, but at my current strength, I can only manage to the levels of “infer” or possibly “allude.”
Anyway, Nathan’s toy there looks like it were mongrelized by Leah’s new puppy. See that? Allusion. I’ll tell you more after the break.

Ah, toy stores. Or any store during this holiday season. They’re all pretty bad. Toy stores, though, have to contend with unruly teenagers. Apparently.
I’ve been getting into TV lately (I know, right?) and I really like “The Class.” Teehee! And NCIS, and The Unit (it’s the theme song more than the show itself that I like), and… Numb3rs! David Krumholtz love! And the show is good as well. It’s weird, I don’t usually watch this much TV, but they are all hard shows to quit. As if I wanted to quit.

I hope you enjoy our sitcom joke here. Every now and then the comic feels like it’s a part of something else. The shower fixing episode we did earlier felt like a Calvin and Hobbes piece. This one feels more like it was filmed before a live studio audience. I figured it was a good joke nonetheless so here it is before you.
Oh and by the way, that’s Tom Clancy that Nathan is reading. Tom Clancy translated into Chinese apparently, but still the Chief in the end.

The ball was so not dropped in my court this time but that doesn’t mean that you should look so sad! Daniel and I had an awesome time hanging out and posting the comic on Saturday (and Sunday, and Friday, etc.) that we decided to blow off the post on Tuesday – thus up two whole days behind schedule. Actually, parts of that statement are lies, and we are depending on you, dear reader to discover them before it’s too late! Oh never mind.
Yes, I do chuckle every time I say that. Whatever. You will all be glad to know that I forced our beloved creator to watch the first episodes of Get Ed, only the greatest find of mine since Code Lyoko. Understand where I’m coming from before criticizing my taste! I like B movies and so forth, as well as badly-written loosely-planned CG kid shows. Go figure. I need to grow up, eventually…
